My wife Jada and I have been happily married for over 19 years and have two wonderful children, Wilson (13), and Blair Ellen (10). Life in our family has required me to wear many hats over the years ranging from Scout Den Leader to Little league baseball coach in addition to my full-time job as the owner/operator of an insurance agency in Lebanon. Jada works as a teacher and school counselor in addition to her other many duties as a mom and wife. My family and I are members of Immanuel Baptist Church in Lebanon where I serve as a deacon, and Jada & I teach a Sunday School class for engaged and newly married couples. Previously I served as the chairman of the men’s ministry and have also served on a mission team to Central America.
Service is something that I believe in from the bottom of my heart. From my time as a Tank Platoon Leader in an Armored Cavalry Regiment in the Tennessee Army National Guard to my time in various leadership positions in Lebanon and Wilson County, I believe that giving back to the community and serving others is paramount. This is something that I try to teach my children every day. I have served as president of the Rotary Club of Lebanon, Chairman of the Wilson County Republican Party, as well as other committees in the community. I believe in the “hand up, not a hand out” approach to helping others in the community. This is why I’m so proud to have previously served as the president of the Wilson County Habitat for Humanity and why I continue to support the organization by teaching insurance classes to future homeowners and volunteering on home build sites.
